How it works

Two jobs, finally split.

QuickBooks Desktop has always forced two jobs onto one machine: deciding what each transaction is, and posting it. Ledgersync splits them. Your team does the deciding in Ledgersync, reviewing, categorizing, splitting and approving bank and card lines from any browser. A small Windows program, the Desktop Bridge, runs on the PC where QuickBooks lives and does the posting, writing each approved line into the client's company file through the QuickBooks SDK.

Nothing reaches the books until someone approves it. Everything that does is traceable, and reversible.

Benefits

Built for the way Desktop firms actually work.

Work anywhere. Post where QuickBooks lives.

Staff don't need to sit at, or remote into, the QuickBooks computer. Review happens in the browser; the agent handles the file.

Clean books by default.

Every line is approved before it can be pushed, and Ledgersync checks for a matching QuickBooks entry before it writes, so duplicates are caught instead of posted.

Mistakes you can take back.

Pushed the wrong category? Undo removes the entry from QuickBooks and returns the line to Approved. Anything already reconciled is protected from Undo.

5 Key Features

The details that keep the company file clean.

  1. 01

    The right entry type, automatically.

Money out becomes a Check, money in a Deposit. Card activity becomes a Credit Card Charge or Credit, moves between accounts become Transfers, and loan or line-of-credit lines become Journal Entries.

  2. 02

    Suggestions with a confidence score.

Every suggested category shows how sure Ledgersync is. A 90% match can be approved at a glance; a 0% goes to Ask My Accountant.

  3. 03

Rules that learn from your history.

Build a rule from any line in one click, let Learn from History find repeat payees, or have AI propose rules. Proposals stay off until you accept them.

  4. 04

A live view of the desktop connection.

The Desktop Bridge shows whether the agent is online, which company file is open, QuickBooks and SDK versions, and the last sync, so a stalled push is diagnosable in seconds.

  5. 05

A clear record of every push.

Before anything is written, a confirmation panel shows the company file, bank account and net amount. Afterwards, the Import Log records each transaction's QuickBooks result.

Desktop Bridge

See exactly where an entry is going before it is written.

  • Agent online status, machine and company file
  • QuickBooks, agent and SDK versions
  • Confirm panel with bank scope, period and net amount
  • Activity log of every push
Desktop Bridge status and the Confirm QuickBooks push panel: you see exactly where an entry is going before it is written.

Give your Desktop clients a bank feed you can trust.
